     33.           Spirits Perspectives                                                   10/08/03

    From reading in Ken Wilber’s Excerpt D “The Look of a Feeling.”, I worked with the concepts and have found truths that tease out lines of comprehension about what it means to be alive. For me this is very exciting to be able to read Western writing as though it is the best of ancient wisdom in a brand new package of Succulent Philosophy or Integral Post-Metaphysics.

    “The metaphysical package—in which the gift arrives. Same gift (the Great Perfection), but a different package (which is Spirit's own skin today).” Ken Wilber

    The three heuristic principles; Nonexclusion, Enactment and Enfoldment discussed within the first pages are an extraordinary look at our composition.

    Nonexclusion means that "Everybody is right"—

    This idea became very clear this week when I went to dinner with friends, one who I had not seen for several years. My view was expanded to enjoy all the developed lines in my friend and also appreciate the less developed lines. There was an obvious wealth that we could feel with each other. To keep balanced through the limiting concepts that come in, and try to define what is going on here, was totally instructive. I was seeing the wisdom of Wilber’s work unfolding on the spot.

    The general habit of viewing people in one way or as one color/flavor only contributes to others viewing themselves as limited. Nonexclusion encourages us to enjoy the many facets of another being.

    Enactment, which means that no experience, is innocent and pregiven but [brought forth or enacted in part by the activity of the subject doing the experiencing.]

    How immediate are our presentations when we realize whatever we are enacting right now is a singular perspective which could be right, for the moment or has ingredients that are useful for the next moment. We enact and experience how we jive with others perspectives by the resultant resonance to a higher song frequency. As I witness/experience The Great Perfection, creativity also feels the naked mingling with the fully clothed.

    Enfoldment, the principle of being more integral

    This quote feels like it gives an explanation of Enfoldment;
“The teaching of impermanence and non-self only aims to show us that everything is connected to everything else, the teaching of interbeing. Without this, the other cannot be. One wave is made of all the other waves. One electron is made of all the other electrons. Nuclear physicists of our time are beginning to speak in this language." Pg. 22 Going Home, Thich Nhat Hanh

    By enfolding, appreciating and integrating the best of what is communicated spirit evolves the present space/time experience. In this sense the Kosmos opens on the backs of all sentient beings.

    In a short space of some pages appear universals that usher us higher and shine a light of Joy as we honor Spirits own display. Thank you Mr. Wilber.

    "As we each notice, enjoy and practice the “always already” in our own unique way, one form of living our level of enlightenment is to notice and collaborate with others who are consciously manifesting as God in this world." Dan Noble

Peace

Nice re-stating of some of Ken Wilber's basic principles, Harmon. I could see/feel you at the dinner, appreciating each friend for who he/she really is, at their various levels, in their various lines, through the quadrants...

Thank you Jordan, It is nice to have some real movement along the mental/brain wave lines.
